Designing and tagging a website is not all that is needed to make the search engines find it. Proper coding and special attention to the small details will make a website stand out and get higher rankings with the search engines. This is something that we are passionate about and work with the client to make sure their sites adhere to these practices.
The types of sites we design has definitely changed over the years. In the late 90’s, we were using FrontPage. then quickly progressed to Dreamweaver to design static websites. In 2008, we switched over to a new trend in websites, WordPress, so we could create dynamic sites in a CMS that the client could maintain.
- The domain registrar is where you purchase your domain name (think of it as the same as registering your business name, only it’s for the internet).
- Think of the host as your landlord. Their web server is where your website will reside.
- Think of the web designer or website developer (same thing) as your interior decorator. When you get your domain name, then you need a professional to make you look GREAT! Remember…first impressions never get a TAKE TWO.
